Translation (2021–Present)
I regularly work with Tokyo-based art book distributor twelvebooks to provide English to Japanese translations for magazine press releases and copy for art books. These titles encompass a range of creative fields, including art, architecture, craft, critical theory, culture, design, fashion, film, photography, sound, and print culture.

Editorial, Translation (2023)
As an editorial staff for the bilingual online contemporary art platform ART iT, I provided Japanese to English translations of news articles and reviews relating to the promotion of various art initiatives and projects in Japan.


︎Yamanaka Suplex
Translation (2021–Present)
Providing regular translations for Yamanaka Suplex’s various exhibitions and projects, including Ghost Mountain Ghost Shovel: Charting the Contours of Time (Kyoto Art Center, 2023), the Yamanaka Suplex annex “MINE,” and The Analogical Mirrors (2020).

Japanese to English translation of the booklet Infected Cities; a record of research by New York-based art unit exonemo as part of the Obayashi Foundation’s 2021 “Visions of the City - Obayashi Foundation Research Program.”

Limited edition of 300 copies were distributed freely from here.


Working with the organisation Art Translators Collective to deliver Japanese to English translations in the field of the creative arts.

Translation (2021)
Japanese to English translation for the public art project and app Technopera—a digital opera set in Kobe’s Meriken Park using Augmented Reality (AR).

Editorial Assistant

STORIED is a Kyoto-based travel & lifestyle magazine inspired by the people, places, and crafts of Japan.

Featured work: “Listening to Minamidaitojima” (Volume Two: The Islands Issue, released in August, 2021) on the community field recording project “Soundscapes of Minamidaito Island” by soundscape researcher IWATA Marie and ethnographer, field recording artist, and filmmaker YANAGISAWA Eisuke.

Native & Co is a Notting Hill-based lifestyle store specialising in Japanese craftwares.
As in-house copywriter, I produced product copy and short-form content writing (e.g., journals, daily care guides, and newsletters) on Japanese crafts and culture.

I also provide assistance to independent creatives and small organizations, working as a studio assistant, interpreter, liaison, and art tour guide.
